Susan Roan Rusk
Susan was born in Westerly, Rhode Island the 25thof April 1949. She left this world too soon, on the morning of June 4, 2018.
Susan and her family moved to California when she was eight years old. Susan was always a voracious reader. As a girl one summer, she read the entire collection of books at the Tustin library. She loved art and literature.
After finishing school, Susan married John Rusk and they began their lives together as young parents and entrepreneurs opening a plant store in Orange called the Half Moon. In the 80’s Susan moved to San Juan Capistrano with her daughter Jennifer and began a career in technology.
She rode her bike to the beach daily, weather permitting. Her free time was spent bicycling, basking in the sun, and reading. The best combination of bicycle, books, and beach included her family. Susan, her daughter Jennifer, and three grandchildren Addison, Shane, and Logan, planned their vacations around camping trips at the beach under the stars. She will be missed by them beyond measure.
Susan spent her last weekend on earth doing what she loved. She bicycled to the beach, she sat in the sun, she played in the ocean and sand with her daughter and her grandkids. She read.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and John Roan and her brother Scott. Susan was recognized by her beautiful smile. She will be missed by many loving friends, beloved family of co-workers at Kulicke and Soffa, neighbors, and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Capo Beach. Turn right on Beach Rd. from Pacific Coast Highway. Look for the EZ up to the right of the basketball courts. All are welcome.
