Obituary

Susan Elaine Gourley, long time resident of Anaheim California, was called home on March 3, 2014. Born in Inglewood, California on March 30, 1946.

After graduating from Vacaville High School Sue went on to marry two wonderful men, Nicholas Cloo and Billy Gourley, before finding true love with Ken Toller who was called home way too soon.

After becoming the first woman hired at the AC/Delco-Remy plant in Anaheim as a Machine Operator, Sue moved on to become Lead Assembler for Hartwell Corporation where she was a dedicated employee for 35 1/2 years. She loved her job and her work family.

Sue was a proud American military Mama who enjoyed traveling and spending time with family, country music, dancing, and the Anaheim Angels.

She leaves behind her beloved mother Barbara Cook, loving children Pam Bennett (Doug), Nick Gourley (Carolyn), Raelena Crook (Micah), Shauna Gourley (Steven Suarez), grandchildren Christian, Megan, Ashlee and husband David, Bryce, Mitch, Ryan, Tyler, Jacob, and Mia, great-grand children Brayden and new arrival Zoee, brothers Dennis Bossaert (Suzie) and Walt Cook (Cathy) and sisters Marcy Swearingen (Kenny) and Rhonda Guerin (David), several nephews. nieces and many life long friends.

Both her fathers, Raymond Bossaert and Walt Cook preceded her in death.

Services will be held Sunday March 30, 2014 @ 1:00pm with a lite reception to follow at:

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted and all proceeds will be given to Wreathes Across America in honor of Sue!

    Sue was always concerned about others. She called our home several times if a fire was anywhere in the vicinity…even if it was 20 miles away! She built a beautiful family legacy of individuals whom we cherish. Thanks, Sue. You fought the good fight.. Blessings to the family as you recall her and the gift she was to everyone who knew her.
