Steven William Strom was born to William H. Strom and Sandra K. Strom in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on March 16, 1975. From an early age, Steve showed an interest in sports and played peewee ice hockey when the family moved to Duluth.  About three and a half years later, Steve was joined by his brother, Paul G. Strom, (married to Kimberly Strom) and reside in La Quinta.  Steve enjoyed traveling and since his father was an airline captain he was able to see other countries.  Fishing, snowboarding, watching Vikings games and spending time with his family and friends was how Steve liked to spend his time.  After marrying Courtney Augustine (who preceded him in death) they had a son Liam, who is now thirteen.  Steve was a much loved parent to Courtney's twin daughters, Kobie and Kendyll Thomas.  They are now twenty-two years old, and graduates of San Diego State University.  Steve's co-workers at the County of Orange remembered him fondly, as always being cheery with a big smile.  Steve was a civil engineer by way of education and trade, and worked for Orange County Public Works Survey Department for twenty-two years.  He leaves behind many grieving family members, friends and co-workers.
