Obituary
Steve Paladino
Steve Paladino, seventy-one years of age of Mission Viejo, California, has joined his parents in Heaven on Sunday January 22, 2023, in Laguna Hills, California.
Steve was born November 26, 1951, in Jamestown, New York to his parents Frances (Messina) and Frank Paladino. His parents decided to move the family to Long Beach, California in search of a better life. Steve attended Jordan High School and was a proud Panther for his entire teenage and adult life. After high school, he joined the United States Army, and served his country honorably during his service. After completing his enlistment, Steve joined the aerospace industry at JC Carter in Costa Mesa; California, where he served as Vice President of Operations, until his retirement in 1999 at 48 years old.
Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all of those who knew him.
Steve was an avid fisherman known for his famous line when his sons would catch a fish, “Hook up!” He owned and cherished multiple fishing boats throughout his life, but nothing compared to the boat he and his best friend Robert (AKA the King) Bratton purchased and accurately named, “Mucho Dinero.” Steve often reminisced about how much he enjoyed planning and attending his high school and car club reunions, and spending time with his, “old school” friends. He loved to cook and was known to clutter the kitchen with his cooking toys.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Brigitte Paladino, his two sons, Dustin, and Chris Paladino, his two children by marriage, Stacy Best and Joe Harsany, and his eight grandchildren Reese, Vince and Trace Paladino, Emmett and Savannah Best, Jake, Owen and Joey Harsany.
“Do not be discouraged,
For the Lord your God will be with you
Wherever you go.”

Steve was my grandfather and one of the best guy’s I ever knew. He was always cheering me on with everything I did. He always sent a card for every holiday; it didn’t matter how small the holidays were. He always called me after school and made sure to keep in touch. He texted me practically daily and always knew how to put a smile on my face. I remember the time he drove over 30 hours just to visit my dad and I. He took me to the NASA museum, and he bought me a very overpriced blue hoodie that I still have. The day I got told he passed, I couldn’t stop crying and still do to this day. I still text his phone regularly and wear his oversized shirts to bed. I still have the collection of every card he ever sent me, and his glasses sit on my nightstand. I loved him with every ounce of my soul, and so did my father. But I know he isn’t gone for good. He always pops up in the most random moments, reminding me that he’s always here with me. Until I meet him again at the gates of heaven, I’ll never know a man who’s loved people with so much might.
