Humble – Humorous – Hibbert

Born on May 11th, 1952, in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England, Stephen Hibbert lived a thoroughly adventurous and enjoyable life. Though cut short by cholangiocarinoma (cancer of the bile duct), he did not let that prevent him from caring for and loving his family, exploring the world, and keeping up appearances with his insatiable dry wit as only an Englishman would. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and support for his family throughout his battle with cancer.

Life

Stephen Hibbert (a.k.a. Steve, Slob, Dad, Big Guy, Daddy-kins)

Parents: Frank and Rosalie Hibbert

Childhood: Grew up on a farm near Trowbridge in the south of England, then moved to West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire

At the age of 12, Steve joined the Royal Merchant Navy and went to sea

Married Sandra Blomfield on April 3rd, 1975, in England

Two wonderful children: Simon Hibbert, born 1980, and Sophie Hibbert, born 1985

One amazing granddaughter: Olivia Josephine Hibbert, born 2011

Passed away peacefully at his home in Irvine, CA, surrounded by his loving family
