Obituary

Spencer Sandridge

Spencer Sandridge, age 27, the beloved son of Kaye and Jim Sandridge, passed away instantaneously in a fatal car accident on April 30th. He was born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas. He had lived in Orange County, CA the past four years, where he worked as a teller and later promoted to a personal banker at Wells Fargo. He was also finishing his college degree at Orange Coast College. He was committed to his rescue dog, Lazarus, and loved to spend time with him at the beach.

Spencer was an avid outdoorsman and excellent marksman who enjoyed hiking, camping and snow skiing. He achieved his first degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do at the young age of seven, and shortly thereafter earned his second degree black belt. He went on to become an Eagle Scout and was a member of the BSA Order of the Arrow. During high school he was active in the youth group at Triestch Memorial United Methodist Church. And enjoyed going on mission trips with them. While participating in the Marcus High School Band, they won multiple state championships, and was a member of the Drumline that won a national championship. His friends and coworkers remember him as a caring, generous, engaging, fun-loving, and intelligent young man.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Kaye Sandridge, his younger sister, Shannon Sandridge as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  In this time of social distancing and limited gathering, the family would appreciate your comments to celebrate and remember the accomplished, cherished life of Spencer.

  1. Your Triestch family mourns with you . We hope in the coming days that you can feel our love surround you.

  2. Kaye,
I am so sorry to learn of the devastating news of Spencer’s death. I know you and Jim are sad beyond belief. I pray that God surrounds you with his Love. God gave Spencer a wonderful earthly gift of a strong, loving family while he was here.

I remember Spencer being at Marcus and all the fun and excitement of the wonderful Drum Line and their accomplishments.. Bill and I even went to the Christmas Production at Prestonwood where the Marcus drumline played.

We greatly miss you at Treitsch and in our Bible study.

Spencer was an incredible young man ,who always had a smile on his face.. I will truly miss his kindness and big heart.

  4. Your church family at Triestch have so many memories of Spencer growing up. What a fine young man he became, and our hearts are broken for you.
We hope as you move forward that you can feel the love that surrounds you from your church family…

  5. Spencer was a sweet and kind young man. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to work with him. It was easy to connect with him because of his kindness. He was always inclusive of everyone. He shared the story of how he learned to speak Spanish and it is something that I feel spoke to his character and his love of being connected to others. I always enjoyed seeing how he brightened people’s days at work. He had a kind face and a sweet smile that could make anyone feel welcome. I will miss out conversations. We both shared our love for The Office and I enjoyed pretending some of the situations could happen in our workplace, although they never did lol.
I know Spencer is in a better place and I am at peace knowing one day he will be welcoming us on the other side. Rest easy Spencer. You will not be forgotten.
