Obituary

Spencer Sandridge

Spencer Sandridge, age 27, the beloved son of Kaye and Jim Sandridge, passed away instantaneously in a fatal car accident on April 30th. He was born and raised in Flower Mound, Texas. He had lived in Orange County, CA the past four years, where he worked as a teller and later promoted to a personal banker at Wells Fargo. He was also finishing his college degree at Orange Coast College. He was committed to his rescue dog, Lazarus, and loved to spend time with him at the beach.

Spencer was an avid outdoorsman and excellent marksman who enjoyed hiking, camping and snow skiing. He achieved his first degree blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do at the young age of seven, and shortly thereafter earned his second degree black belt. He went on to become an Eagle Scout and was a member of the BSA Order of the Arrow. During high school he was active in the youth group at Triestch Memorial United Methodist Church. And enjoyed going on mission trips with them. While participating in the Marcus High School Band, they won multiple state championships, and was a member of the Drumline that won a national championship. His friends and coworkers remember him as a caring, generous, engaging, fun-loving, and intelligent young man.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Kaye Sandridge, his younger sister, Shannon Sandridge as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  In this time of social distancing and limited gathering, the family would appreciate your comments to celebrate and remember the accomplished, cherished life of Spencer.

  1. Spencer,

So many memories of my childhood revolve around you and Shannon. You have always felt like family & guided me like a brother.. oh and bullied my like one!! Although I hadn’t spoken to you in a while, I know I could always call you and your family for anything. I was always praying over you and supporting you from afar. You are loved by me and all of our family. I know that I will see you again soon with our Heavenly Father. Rest In Peace. You are so missed already.

We will all miss Spencer and have heavy hearts for the Sandridge family. Kaye, Jim, Shannon – so many love you all and will be asking the Lord for peace on your behalf. We will rejoice that Spencer has made his entrance into Heaven, but we will long for the day when we can join him and be reunited. I most look forward to seeing Spencer’s smile and having his easy-going personality with me. Even as a young kid, he always knew how to make me laugh.

  3. Winston and I are extremely sorry to hear this news. We don’t know Spencer but we do know Kaye and Jim. We send our condolences as well as our prayers. We are with you in spirit at this time and send our love and big hugs to both of you. We pray God’s Peace that passes all understanding. Love you so much, Charlotte and Winston
