Obituary
Soledad Amparo Negron, a cherished resident of Seal Beach, California, passed away on September 12, 2024, at Providence Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Orange, California. She was 70 years old.
As a result of complications during elective surgery, a large amount of blood was lost. Valiant attempts were made to sustain her life.
Soledad’s life was a testament to the power of warmth, acceptance, and love. She was a beacon of affection for all who knew her, making each person she encountered feel deeply valued, leaving a lasting impression of her love. She was a devoted mother to her beloved daughters, Marcela and Daniela, and a steadfast matriarch who held her family close.
Raised by her single mother, Soledad developed a strong sense of resilience and family unity. She shared an unbreakable bond with her sisters—Maria Elena, Giovanna, and her newfound sister, Patricia—each of whom was cherished in her heart.
Memories of Soledad are marked by her deep love and care for children, her strategic prowess in card games, and her affectionate interactions with every dog she met. Soledad emigrated from Lima, Peru at a young age in search of a better life and arranged for her entire family to follow her to California. An avid hiker, marathoner, and proponent of a healthy lifestyle, Soledad embraced exercise with a passion and dedication that inspired those around her. Her infectious smile and laughter were a constant source of joy, and any gathering with Soledad, especially one involving time and wine, was guaranteed to be filled with laughter and good cheer. Soledad’s second home was Seal Beach Yacht Club where she could often be found enjoying her wine with her Seal Beach Yacht Club family.
Her generosity, humor, and nurturing spirit—were evident to all who knew her. Soledad faced everything in life fearlessly and did not back away from challenges. While she often chose quiet acceptance over confrontation, she was a fighter. Her impact on everyone she met was profound and enduring. Soledad’s legacy is one of deep love and true kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Soledad is survived by her husband Joe Negron, beloved daughters, Marcela and Daniela, her bonus children, Jennifer, Jean Paul (Kathy), Jocelyn (Ray), and Aaron Joseph (Joy), grandchildren Cristian, Silas, Elias, Julian, Marina, and Lucia. Sisters, Maria Elena (Luis), Giovanna (Tito), and Patricia (Erick); and a multitude of family and friends, who will forever hold her memory dear.
In honor of her life and spirit, the family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Soledad’s legacy, cherishing the warmth and joy she brought into their lives.

Dear Joe,
I was devastated to hear about Soledad’s passing. There are no words that can truly express the depth of the pain you must be feeling right now. Soledad was such a beautiful person, inside and out. Her warmth, her kindness, and the love she had for you and everyone around her left an imprint on everyone’s hearts.
In this time of unimaginable grief, I hope you can find strength in the love of your family and friends. My heart is with you, and I’ll be holding you and Soledad in my thoughts and prayers.
With all my love and deepest sympathy, Ray

To Soledad’s loving family. Working with Soledad at Lincoln HS and becoming friends is one of the great joys of my life. She was an amazing woman with a loving, joyous, and energetic spirit. She is on her next Camino. She will be missed. You are all in my heart and prayers. ❤️🙏

It was always a fun time when Soledad was around. From our lunch dates on the water in Puerto Rico, to celebrating my nuptials and dancing the night away… your spirit will live on and whenever Christian and I visit Puerto Rico we’ll think of you and drink a glass of wine in your honor. To my uncle Joe, I am so sorry for your tragic loss… Soledad brought out the best in you and I hope you can continue to shine the way you did when she was by your side here on earth…
Until we meet again Soledad…🩷
