  1. Ilga,

My heart goes out to you; there are really no words to adequately express my feelings for what you are going through. Be well, lean on those who love you and there are many of us, and know that I am here for you, even these many miles away, and you can call me any time, for any reason.

    Many hugs and much love,

    Elizabeth

  2. Dear Ilga,

I’m so glad I had the chance to meet your mother when I stayed with you a few years ago. She was sweet to me, and seemed to appreciate any interest shown her and certainly made efforts to return it in kind.

I know you were struggling with the nature of your relationship with her. I know and you do too that she loved you, and she knows you loved her.

In any close relationship there is discomfort sometimes, simply because we’re human. The discomfort means that there is intimacy, that the other person matters to us, and that we care how we are perceived and understood by him or her.

I’m sure you miss her so much. I think of you with great affection and respect as always, and send strength your way more often than you know! Talk to you soon.

    Much love,
    Judith

  3. Ilga says:

Thank you for your wonderful words about my mother. We had our moments, like any mother and daughter but I always only wanted the best for her. I do miss her and its alot easier for her now and she is at peace.

  4. Dear Ilga,

It says that picture can tell a thousand words. Beautiful photos you have selected truly capture elegance, intelligence and desire to discover your mum had. She loved to travel and loved her dogs very much. When I was a child I always admired the way my great-aunt Skaidrite knew how to dress and carry her presence gracefully and beautifully with charm and elegance. We did not get to meet that often because all of my life we have lived in different countries, but I am very grateful I met her again in summer of 2007 when I felt welcomed and cared for from you and your mum. Thank you.
I am deeply sorry for your loss of a loved one. I’m sure she loved you very much too and I believe that now she in heaven and has found her peace.

    Lots of love
    Ivonna
