Obituary

Sidney Ray Hoffman, a WWII Combat Pilot and former owner of the landmark Revere House restaurant in Tustin, died March 6 at his Mission Viejo home. He was 89. Born July 27, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois he joined the Army Air Corps in 1942 and was trained as a Pilot. His B-17 was shot down over Germany in May of 1944 and he survived a harrowing year in a German prison camp. After the war, Sidney was involved in the restaurant business eventually becoming a partner in the Revere House. Among the loves of his life was golfing, sailing, and the good company of his family members and many friends.
Sidney is survived by his lovely wife Thelma Carlson Hoffman, loving children Stephanie Steele, James Hoffman; grandchildren Jason and Kristofer Hoffman, and Dawning and Fawn Smith. His daughter Jean Ann Smith preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 15th, 2006 ~ 10:00A.M. at O’Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, California 92653.

An Interment will follow at El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest, California 92630.
