Barber, Shizuko Ono, 80 of Lake Forest passed away on June 18, 2012. She is preceded into Heaven by daughter, Shirley Ann, and husband, Charles M. Sr.

Shizuko was from Yamagata, Japan but met and married a Marine in Yokohama. Together they raised their family of three in their 54 years together. Military life had them traveling till they finally settled in Orange County, California to make it home for 43 years. Shizuko will be remembered as the most loyal strong willed woman full of love, pride and strength, both for her heritage and family. Her strong passions were family, friends, and gardening. Her favorite activities were yelling ‘Bingo’, the Lottery, gardening, music, and shopping.

She is survived by her son, Charles; daughter, Theresa; and her grandchildren, Pablo, Vanessa, and Estela. The family is holding a private service.

The family asks for those wishing to contribute to Shizuko’s favorite charities to donate to The American Cancer Society, The Disabled American Vets, American Diabetes Association.
