I’ve known Shirley so long I don’t remember not knowing her. My mom met Shirley when they worked at U.S. Grant department store when they were in high school. My dad and Ray went to elementary school together. I remember visiting the family when they lived in Covina and later when they moved to San Clemente. Shirley always appreciated anything I did for her. They came to my house on many Thanksgivings and Christmases as well as ‘no reason’ get togethers over the years. We always enjoyed our time together and laughed a lot. Although we know things change and people leave us, it is still so sad when we can no longer share these events together with our friends and they are resigned to fond memories. I hold a special place in my heart for Shirley and Ray
