Obituary

Shirley Ruth Hewitt, 84, of Rancho Santa Margarita, California died suddenly after viewing her husband’s body at a funeral home in Laguna Hills, on Thursday, December 11, 2015. The cause was a massive heart attack. Her husband, William, had died three days earlier, on December 8, 2014, of natural causes.

Shirley was born on March 13, 1930 in Brookfield, Illinois, the daughter of Edward Mihaliak and Marjorie Kamisch. She grew up in Illinois, attended Carroll College in Wisconsin, and lived for many years with her family in Bellevue, Washington. She was a devoted wife and mother of three.

Shirley is survived by her sons Mark Alan and Paul Edward, daughter Nancy Ruth Maul, and loving grandchildren Jeff, Sarah, Brittany, Bryce, Gina, Allison, and Rachel.

A funeral mass for William and Shirley Hewitt will be held on Tuesday, December 16th at 10:00 AM at San Francisco Solano Church in Rancho Santa Margarita. They will be laid to rest at the Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, CA. Flowers may be sent to San Francisco Solano Catholic Church at 22082 Antonio Parkway, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
