Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheldon (Shel) Marco on January 24, 2023. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, his daughter Lori, his son David, and his two granddaughters. Shel and Kathy would have celebrated their 60 year wedding anniversary on June 1st, 2023.

Since his Parkinson’s diagnosis 7 years ago, he had been using a walker for balance, he had to give up his love of golf. Shel was dedicated to staying as active and as social as possible. He enjoyed driving his golf cart to the senior center for lunch and socializing, and of course, still telling as many stories and jokes as he could remember. He recently started a ballroom dance class and nutrition class at his local community center. He loved his oldies 50s and 60s music, and his schmear (lox and bagels). We will miss him deeply, but find comfort knowing he is in heaven, and finally able to play golf again.

Kathy, sorry to hear about Shel. We worked together as part of the Allstate management team in Southern California back in the 80s. I remember how Shel was always an enthusiastic and happy guy and one great sales manager. Joe McFadden
