Sharon Elizabeth Dodson, born on October 22, 1943 in Buffalo, New York to James and Camille Peltier, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2024, at the age of 81. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.
Sharon was known for her quick wit, infectious laughter and her unwavering support for her family and friends. She dedicated her life to her loved ones, always putting their needs before her own. Sharon was a passionate business owner as well as an entrepreneur and her contributions to the community will be remembered fondly.
Sharon is survived by her children, Richard Maestas with wife Dawn, Jodi Stoltenberg Adkins and Danny Maestas with wife Colleen, who will carry on her legacy of love and compassion; also by her siblings James Peltier, Eileen Peltier and David Peltier. Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gregory Horton Dodson.
Her grandchildren held a sacred place in her heart, Jennifer Stoltenberg, Courtney Stoltenberg with husband Ernie and Jeffrey Maestas with wife Nicole, Aubrey, Summer, and Mia.
Her great grandchildren, Avery, Sydney, Kennedy and Kayson are also jewels in her crown. Along with her aunt Dee, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of her close friends were considered family. Sharon held a deep spiritual base that guided her way through life. She always felt peace and joy beside the ocean and in her honor the family hopes when you catch a glimpse of the deep blue sea, fond memories of her will resonate with you always.
Sharon will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
