Obituary

Shannon Conroy Taylor died at the age of 45 after an incredibly courageous battle with breast cancer. Shannon passed away quietly and at peace in her Laguna Niguel home surrounded by loving family members on September 27.

Shannon was a deeply devoted mother and loving wife. She created lasting and connected friendships throughout her life, and was a genuine friend to all who knew her. Shannon’s one true calling in life was being a mother to Samantha and Matthew. She found joy in their happiness, sorrow in their pain, and dedicated her life to raising them to become the amazing, caring people they are today.

She had a heart for all of God’s creatures and only wanted our many dogs and cats to be cozy and happy.

Her love and empathy was boundless. She truly cared for all who knew her. Knowing the extensive details of the lives of her friends and extended family members. She was the glue that kept everyone connected.

Shannon is survived by her children Samantha and Matthew; husband Michael; sisters, Kelly, Katie, Colleen, Sara, and Michelle; her brothers Danny, Mark, and Craig; her father Daniel; and her mother Ann.

A ‘celebration of life’ will be held Friday, October 2 from 11-4 pm, at El Adobe Restaurant, 31891 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano.

In lieu of flowers we are asking friends and family to make a donation on Shannon’s memorial fund.

  1. Our deepest sympathy and love to the Taylor family for your tremendous loss.
To call Shannon home at such a young age, God must have needed a special angel.

  2. First of all, I just smile when I think of all the memories I have with my dear and wonderful friend Shannon. One beautiful and blessed thing about Shannon was we could talk on such a deep and personal level. We had the best talks and she was always such a wonderful listener and gave amazing advice . Our place was Mimi’s café and going there for lunch with Shannon was always super enjoyable and the highlight of my week!! I know the Lord brought us together to share a friendship when I met Shannon my freshman year in college, she was my next-door neighbor in the dorms and ever since then, she has been one of my best friends. Going home with her on weekends and taking a break from college was wonderful. I had an opportunity to meet Shannon’s mom and two of her sisters. Shannon created a beautiful family with her husband Michael and two children. I am proud of her courage, strength and faith and told her often . I will miss you Shannon
