  1. We had the pleasure to work with Scott on numerous projects. He was always great to work with – organized, methodical, and very fair. He had an incredibly accurate “BS” detector. Scott wanted the facts straight up with no excuses, twists, or spins.

He genuinely cared about you as a person and always wanted to know how me and my family were doing. We will miss him greatly.

Our sincere condolences to the Sobeck family. We pray that your cherished memories of Scott will comfort you in this time of sorrow.

Please accept the heartfelt condolences of myself and every at Sycamore Environmental. We worked with Scott on the Placerville project for the past several years. We respected him personally and professionally. He was a wise project manager who knew how to encourage people to do their best. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Sincerely,

  3. Latifah says:

Scott would call our office and he never identified himself at first. He wanted to see if I recognized his voice. He tricked me a few times and after I would ask him to hold, he would say “Thanks, Latifah”. I thought I was special because he knew my name. I’ll miss that. There was nothing but kind words that he said to me and he never hesitated to give me a smile when he saw me, even if he just finished yelling at someone in the office about a project. I’ll miss that too.

I pray that God gives the Sobeck family strength to overcome the pain, patience for whatever the future holds, and guidance towards the path of the virtuous. We plan and God plans, but God is the best of planners.

  4. I played hockey first against Scott and then with him.It was alot easier with him.I can still feel the slash marks on my feet , hands, arms, and back of the legs.We became fast friends when his wife and my girlfriend became teamates on the women’s team in Connecticut.Scott gave me my first push into coaching ,and since then, I have coached high school ice and roller hockey and now coaching at the collegiate level. He gave me that drive that all coaches need.He also showed me,by example, how to treat other people.I am truly blessed to have known him and his family.
