Obituary

The world has lost today. Scott Denis McCanles, age72 was born in Hollywood CA in 1953. He was a kind and compassionate soul whether it be animals or humans; he was always thinking about others.

His sensitivity and nurturing nature will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His many accomplishments include his talent for music and he loved playing his recorder for his family and friends. He was a master photographer and had a much in-demand wedding photography business. Scott was the ultimate adventurer, traveling much of his life as an airline empioyee. He embraced the experience of the people and culture wherever he went and would record his adventures in pictures that will be treasured by his family. He was also a devout animal and nature lover and longtime Vegan. Cooking vegan cuisine for his family and friends brought him great joy.

He is survived by his wife, son and daughter-in-law, granddaughter, 3 sisters, 1 brother and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his mother, dad and father. His mother had a fondness for butterflies as did he and he always equated butterflies with his mom.

He will be cremated as per his wish at O’Connor funeral home in Laguna Hills, CA. A celebration of his life will follow later this year.

Scott will be in our hearts always.
