Obituary
Saundra Rose Hoyal
April 9th, 1943 ~ December 30th, 2020
Saundra was a generous, kind and beautiful soul. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her, but most of all by her family.
She contracted COVID-19 on December the 5th and was hospitalized on December 14th with pneumonia. She fought hard and with every breath she reminded us that she loved us all very deeply. She asserted her desire that we continue to care for each other with the same enduring love she gave to us. She told us that she had no regrets and was so proud of the accomplishments she attained evidenced by the successes of her children and grandchildren.
Saundra was married to Raymond Hoyal on September 6th, 1960. Married for 60 years, together they exemplified the institution of marriage. They were best friends, lovers, parents and illustrated the deepest bond that a couple could have. They enjoyed spending time together, traveling, and the many friendships they had made along the way.
Saundra’s light shines so bright in her husband, her children, and all her grandchildren and as such, she will be never be forgotten. She is survived by her husband Raymond Hoyal, daughters Katherin, Gloria and Carolyn, and grandchildren Alyson, Christina, Jon, Justin, Matthew, Natalie, Daniel, Tehya and Kaiden.
Private services for her immediate family will be held at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside on Tuesday January 12th at 1:00 PM. If you would like to participate in the service you can join us by using this Zoom Link.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts of condolence, the family asks that you please consider donation to the Pet Project Foundation, the rescue partner with the San Clemente-Dana Point Animal Shelter. Saundra volunteered her services at the San Clemente Animal Shelter for 10 years. She had a deep caring and love for all animals, big and small.

I am Sandy first cousin Bette Davis . Our Mothers are sisters . Today was a very special day as today June 14. 2024 I was supposed to find my cousin . I haven’t seen Sandy for 60 years. I love that I now have her beautiful photo of my special cousin. I loved Uncle Jimmy Garibaldi which is Sandy’s Dad. I knew where she lived but was told years ago due to certain circumstances that was best if we didn’t reconnect. We were 6 months apart . I only had 4 girl cousins which Sandy was one of them. I will see Sandy again when I am called home to Heaven. You’re Loved Sandy🥰🙏🏻😘
