Obituary

Sandra B. Pratt, 75, of Anaheim, California passed into eternal celebration with the Lord on November 1, 2013.

She was born February 7, 1938 in Lewiston, Maine to Kenneth G Brewer and Laura (Morrill) Brewer and attended school there. In 1956, she married Fred Paul Pratt also of Lewiston. The couple had 5 children together. Sandy was active in many local clubs in the Lewiston Auburn area and was an enthusiastic supporter of her children’s many activities. The Pratt family left Maine in August of 1971 and relocated to Fountain Valley, California. Sandy later purchased a home in Laguna Beach with a view of the beach – her favorite place to be. She resided in Laguna Beach for over 20 years.

She successfully owned and operated Blue Bird Towing of Santa Ana from 1976 until the business closed in 2012. She was the first female owner and operator of a towing company in southern California and she served as president of the California Tow Truck Association. Even in retirement, her advice and council was sought by her colleagues.

Sandy’s greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Paul Pratt (Kim) of Anaheim; Steven Pratt (Katherine) of Huntington Beach; Gregory Pratt (Lisa) of Fountain Valley and her daughter Laurie Pratt of Aliso Viejo. She is also survived 10 grandchildren: Jamie Dalke (Steve), Isabelle Pratt, Jillian Pratt, Brandon Pratt (Jen), Garrett Pratt, Zachary Pratt, Gregory Pratt (Katye), Lyndsay Espinoza (Michael), Cassandra Beck and Sabrina Beck; 6 great-grandchildren, Taryn Dalhke, Andrew Dalhke, Grace Dalhke, Eve Espinoza, Michael Espinoza and Liana Pratt; her ex-husband and life-long friend, Fred Pratt; her sister Kathy Bourland and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends. A son, Perry Keith Pratt and her sister, Jo-Anne Brewer Smith preceded her in death.

A celebration of her life will take place at 10 O’clock, on Thursday, November 7th at O’Connor’s Mortuary Chapel, 25301 Alicia Parkway Laguna Hills. Burial will be at El Toro Memorial Park, Lake Forest, California.

Sandy regularly and generously donated to many non-profit charities benefitting children and war veterans. If you would like to make a donation in her name to either cause, it would be appreciated by her family.

  1. We were fortunate to have Sandra and Paul and their young family living across the street from us. What fun we had! They would invite us and other young couples into their home on a Saturday night, rolling up the carpet in the living room. Those were the days of record players and vinyl records. We would dance the night away. Great hospitality leaving me with very happy memories.
