Obituary
Sammie Megginson, born November 13th, 1931 in Denton, Texas passed away on Monday, October 3rd, 2011.
Sammie was a long-time resident of Irvine, California and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Megginson. She is survived by her children Debbie Casteel, Ernie Megginson Jr., and Pam Ornellas. and her grandchildren, Kathleen Romo, Chris Megginson, Melissa Megginson, Mike Ornellas, David Ornellas, Emily Megginson, Vlada Casteel, and Val Casteel. Sammie was known for her strong spirit and for being spunky, and was a nurse prior to marrying Ernest in 1953. During their marriage, they traveled the world together, living in Australia, the United Kingdom, Holland, Norway, Japan, and Brazil.
Services will be held at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA on Sunday, October 9th at 10am followed by burial at El Toro Memorial Park.

I’d like to express my sincerest condolences. There are no words that I can say that can adequately comfort one in times such as these. However, Gods word the bible gives us comfort and hope. In Revelation 21:4, Jehovah God promises to get rid of all death, suffering, mourning, and he will wipe all tears from our eyes. Jehovah promises to bring back our loved ones in the resurrection. Jesus said that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29 NWT) May these scriptures comfort you at this hard time.
