Sammie Megginson, born November 13th, 1931 in Denton, Texas passed away on Monday, October 3rd, 2011.

Sammie was a long-time resident of Irvine, California and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Megginson. She is survived by her children Debbie Casteel, Ernie Megginson Jr., and Pam Ornellas. and her grandchildren, Kathleen Romo, Chris Megginson, Melissa Megginson, Mike Ornellas, David Ornellas, Emily Megginson, Vlada Casteel, and Val Casteel. Sammie was known for her strong spirit and for being spunky, and was a nurse prior to marrying Ernest in 1953. During their marriage, they traveled the world together, living in Australia, the United Kingdom, Holland, Norway, Japan, and Brazil.

Services will be held at O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA on Sunday, October 9th at 10am followed by burial at El Toro Memorial Park.
