Obituary

Ruth Frances Denning Sacher passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 19th, 2018 with all of her children and their spouses around her.

She was born on June 22, 1930 in Smethport, PA to Paul and Emily Denning.

She is survived by her sister Evy Denning Ross, her husband Fred Sacher Sr., her 4 devoted children; Fred Sacher Jr. (wife Jackie),  Ken Sacher (wife Lynne), John Sacher (wife Krissy), and Sharon Sacher Andrews (husband Horace), all of whom adored and loved their mother deeply.

Mimi Sacher has left a legacy that also includes 9 adoring grandchildren, and 9 cherished great grandchildren.

Ruth loved God, Family, this country, and people above all.

She enjoyed bright happy colors, especially those of autumn leaves. She also loved beautiful music, painting, and all things chocolate.  Hummingbirds held a special place in her heart.

Ruth’s sense of adventure could be seen early on, as she and her husband Fred moved from the east out to California in the late 1950’s.

She modeled to her family (4 guys at that point) the importance of kindness towards others, hard work, and respect.  Then, in 1970, their daughter Sharon Kay was born. The Sacher house was now an even busier place, doing business, school, church, and living life together. Through it all, Ruth’s signature was calming presence that was a continuous gift to her family.

Ruth Frances Sacher was a unique, beautiful, and bright light of a woman who was always committed and devoted to her entire family.

Her wisdom, kindness, and “sunshine smile” will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A beautiful light now glows on the other side of life. We see her surrounded in love and light every enfolded in God’s love and peace and continuing on her Spiritual journey. Peace and comfort be with you all in this loss. Love Aunt Lynn Denning

  3. Sharon, I have the fondest memories of your mom. She was the kindest person and totally devoted to her family. My heart goes out to you and all of the Sacher family during this time of grief.

  4. Dear John and Krissy; Jordan, David, Ben and Megan and families,
Our hearts go out to you during this time of loss. We’re praying for you and your extended family and thank the Lord Jesus that you will be together again one day.

  5. If kindness and grace had a physicality, they would look like Ruth. However, I learned early on after meeting her, that her gentle beauty and tender-
heartedness was mixed with a fierce loyalty to family and friends, and an iron will in standing up for what she believed in…..whether it was her unmovable faith in God or some injustice she experienced or observed in her daily life. I often thought and said that I wish we had begun our friendship when we were much younger, but I will always be grateful for the time we had together. See you on the other side, Ruth.
