Roselyn M. McDonald, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 4:40pm. She was born in Harvard, IL on Oct. 7, 1916.

With her first husband Bruce Verick, she moved to Long Beach, CA in 1943. She and Bruce owned several Long Beach homes during their marriage. Bruce passed away in 1972.

Roselyn then married Mark McDonald. She and Mark traveled extensively. They cruised to Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, and to Australia and the South Pacific Islands. They also traveled throughout Europe. After Mark passed away in 1999, Roselyn decided to end her 58-year residency in Long Beach. In 2001, she moved to the Regency Senior Living residence in Laguna Woods, CA. This move afforded her the opportunity to be near Vince Gallagher, her friend of more than 50 years, and his wife Joyce. Vince has been her Power of Attorney since 1999.

Roselyn is survived by her nephew, Laurence Nieman of Harvard, IL.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010 at 10:00am. Interment will be at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Harvard, IL.
