  1. Ron was one of our first contacts upon arriving in California over 35 years ago and he became a fast friend. His courage in dealing with his health problems was reflected in everything he did. He battled for things he knew to be right even when it might not have been the popular thing to do. Despite that he was a gentle guy, with an intellect that made him a pleasure to be around. He leaves a void, and will not be forgotten by his many friends.

    A Letter to My Dad:

Dad, my world and everyone’s world was a much better place with you in it. You lived your life in the most beautiful way. You were always so kind and friendly to everyone you came in contact with; you treated everyone with respect; you never had a bad word to say about anyone you did not have a mean bone in your body. You were never judgmental of anyone. I have always admired what a good person you are, and I have always been so proud to call you my Dad!

You loved family, friends, reading, music, cruises I just wish you would have been able to go on that Caribbean cruise, camping, Yosemite, Las Vegas, San Diego, a good glass of wine or a good beer I toast you on this one too, the Anaheim Ducks, a good NFL Game, the UCLA Bruins, reminiscing, and of course your amazing knack with your model trains, just to name a few of your favorite things. Ah and let’s not forget that you loved food. And no matter how full you were, you always asked my favorite question: what’s for dessert? When you were so ill in CICU, your unbelievable humor arose again, when out of the blue you asked the nurse, can I have a Jelly Donut?

Even the last night, when you had no appetite and ate barely any dinner, I am so happy to know that they brought you an apple pie, and that you enjoyed a tiny bit of it. I know that may sound simple, but knowing how much you endured in the end, I am happy you had that happy moment that night when you had some Apple Pie.

Dad, I will forever miss your humor, but of course you! I could not have had a better father. The only thing I think of when I try to find any solace is, thank God, you aren’t in pain anymore, and I just pray you are at peace.

Dad, I will cherish all the special memories we shared, and I will always share with you. You were and always will be the best Dad I could have ever have had.

I miss you and I will always love you Dad!
