Ronald Jon Beshk
December 31, 1935 – August 28, 2011

When you think of a person who is ‘Larger than Life’ Ron Beshk is the guy who comes to mind. To know Ron, is to know a man who loved life and the family and friends he was surrounded by.

Ron fell asleep peacefully and passed into God’s hands on Sunday, August 28, 2011. He is survived in life by his loving wife Rosie, and other immediate family members: Ron Jr. wife Michelle, Kim husband Derek Budd, James, John wife Mickie, David wife Colleen, and daughter-in-law Stephanie Arnold husband Jason. Ron was a loving brother to Robert Beshk Sr. wife Ginny, Mary Ann Vazquez husband Sergio, and Chris Kasprowicz husband Ron. The legacy continues through Ron’s many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: James Jr., Alexandra, Sebastian, Madeline, William, Sophie, Cameron, Drew, Ashley, Sunshine, Hannah, Heidi, Cayden, Lilah, and soon to come Conrad and Beckette.

Ron was born in Chicago, Illinois where he lived with his Dad, Roman and his Mom Cecelia. He enjoyed many happy memories with his brother, sisters, and his extended family members…oh and don’t forget the chimp he had! Does anyone remember that chimp’s name? As a boy Ron excelled in all sports…ok, lets face it, he was a stud in baseball, boxing, and especially football. His ‘Wall of Fame’ includes: The Golden Gloves, a contract to play minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals, member of Illinois All State high school football team, full ride football scholarship to Kansas State University, and last but not least, the Mission Viejo Days ‘Fastest Feet’ award winner!

Ron loved playing and cheating at golf, just ask the boys or any golf buddy to share a scotch and a Tall Golf Tale, and you will be entertained. He also loved to fish and swap ‘fish stories’ with Kimmy and Ronnie. Ron and Rosie loved to travel, hang out with their many close friends and family, attend the kids’ many sporting events & functions, and dance to Elvis.

You are welcome to attend Ron’s funeral mass on Saturday, September 3rd at 10:00 am, St. Kilian Church, in Mission Viejo 26872 Estanciero Dr.. The family will attend a private interment service at Ascension Cemetery following the mass. Please join us in a celebration of Ron’s life. The celebration will be hosted by Ron and Rosie’s close friends, Brenda & Paul LeChevalier at their Mission Viejo home: 25401 Remesa Dr. at 2:00 pm. Saturday September 3rd.

For those interested, in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Fenwick Catholic High School. Ron attended Fenwick, was a star football player there, and loved his alma mater. There is an opportunity to help underprivileged boys attend the school with some assistance from these donations. Ron had this very experience when he attended the school many years ago. Please send donations with IN HONOR OF RON BESHK in the memo line to:

Mixer was full of life, loved his family and it showed in his smile. He always had the best stories to tell and it was a pleasure getting to know him and Rosie . Mixer will be missed and I will always think of him fondly.

  3. Mickie Beshk says:

From the first time I met Mixer, he treated me like his daughter. He and I had a very special relationship that was much deeper than a daughter in law and father in law. He was a man whose very presence was so large and I will miss him so much. I will always love him and think of him every day of the rest of my life.

  4. I will miss my friend Ron. Ron was the funniest guy I ever knew. When we were playing golf and I got down on myself he always had the way back to fun and enjoyment. The guys at the poker game will also miss him, he kept everyone laughing with the one liners.Rest well and save me a spot on the good side.
    Your friend,
    Tony

  5. I was sad to hear of Ron’s passing, but know that he has been relieved of his suffering. Ron was a great influence and friend to my son, Jeff Schmidt. Ron and Rosie’s son Jim was a big part of our lives.
How blessed you all are to have such a great Dad.
