Rodney Howard Brown's Obituary

Rod spent 28 years working in the electronic, aircraft and aerospace wire and cable industry. Rod was employed by A.E. Petsche Co. for 20 years in various sales and management positions. He began his career with A.E. Petsche in Arlington Texas. In 1979 he opened a district office in Wichita, Kansas. After 7 years in Wichita, Rod was promoted to Western Regional Manager and relocated to Southern California in 1988.

After leaving A.E. Petsche Co. in 1994, rod was employed by Surprenant Cable Corporation, Molex International and Circuit Assembly. Rod most recently was an agent for GE Capital Assurance Long Term Care Division.

Rod was a member of Saddleback Church since moving to the area in April of 1988. He was a small group leader since 1991 and served in the Usher Ministry as well. Rod truly believed he was transferred to California to grow spiritually and serve at Saddleback Church.

Rod is survived by his wife, Macajo Brown. Two sons, Chase Damian Brown Dawn of Crowley, Texas and Brett Colin Brown Jennifer of Arlington, Texas. Daughter, Ashley Autumn Brown of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. One brother, Keith Brown of Atalissa, Iowa and two sisters, Terri Brown-Hand of Las Vegas, NV and Sherri Brown of Beebe, AK. Three beautiful granddaughters, Jade Elizabeth Brown and Gabrielle Charlie Brown of Crowley, Texas and Kiley Mackenzie Brown of Arlington, Texas. One surviving uncle, Loyd McGowen of Simms, Texas.

A multitude of friends and family will remember Rod’s courageous fight after being diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor. He remained positive and hopeful, pursuing a small cookie business know as ?The Bald Baker?.
