Robert John 'Red' Longfield, September 15, 1925-February 4, 2010 passed away at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Shirley and three sons John & wife Robin, Jim & wife Merrie and Joe & wife Myra and five grandchildren Dean, Michael, Sarah, Luke, and Jennie.

Of service to our country in the Air Force, Robert was a loving and devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. He spent 32 years with the US Geological Survey as a Supervisory Hydrologist. He was a sports coach and scout leader with his sons, a bowling and golf enthusiast, and loved the outdoors. 'Red' Longfield, as many knew him, volunteered with his wife at South County Outreach to help needy families in the community.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13th at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church at 26001 Muirlands Blvd. Mission Viejo, CA at 10:30 am with a reception to follow at the Church.
