Robert Hewitt Meritt Born: 11/7/1938- 11/28/14

On November 28th our beloved brother in Christ went on his new journey with our Lord and Savior.

Robert H. Merritt was born on November 7, 1938 in Greenville, S.C. Son of Raymond H. Merritt and Mary Helen McWhite, both deceased. He graduated from Alexander Wilson High School. He then joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. After completing his tour of duty Robert attended North Carolina State University receiving a Bachelors in Economics. He went on to get his MBA at Long Beach State University.

Robert is survived by his wife Linda Merritt, daughter Kimberly Banker, her husband Craig Banker, and his grandchildren Michael Banker and Merritt Banker. He is also survived by his brothers William Carlyle Merritt and Michael Fitzgerald as well as his three sisters Mona Helen Chandler, Elaine Merritt Edwards and Martha Ann Merritt Schoffner along with many nieces and nephews.
