Robert Lee Johnson, age 86, of Aliso Viejo, California, died Monday night, March 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Born March 25, 1928, in Livermore Iowa, he was the son of the late Lee John Johnson and Edith Sanderson.

Bob, Air traffic controller in the Air Force, Electric Engineer, tinkerer, entrepreneur, and of course a real ladies man. He enjoyed working with wood in his spare time, and building things was his greatest passion. In his spare time he also enjoyed playing cards, puzzles and of course flirting.

He is survived by his five children: Greg Johnson of Troutdale, Oregon, late Allen Johnson of Chicago, Illinois, Michele Johnson of Laguna Beach, California, Mark Johnson of Chino Hills, California, and Michael Johnson of Tujunga, California; eleven grandchildren, Michelle Marquart, Jolene Johnson, Carrie Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Justin Johnson, Travis Myers, Jennifer Spickelmier, Marshall, and Jaymie Johnson, Zachary and Nathan Johnson; six great grandchildren Coral Baldwin, Kiera Johnson, Evan Gibbs, Robby, Michael and Tara Marquart; six siblings, Ed and Harland Johnson of Iowa, Audrie, Jim Pappusic, late Levina and Margorie of Iowa; and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Memorial services for Robert Johnson will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 from the Los Angeles National Cemetery on 950 S Sepulveda Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90049 with Military Honors. Life celebration will follow at the service at: El Torito 3360 Ocean Park Blvd Santa Monica, CA 90405
