Obituary

ROBERT FRANCIS MASIELLO
November 21, 1934 – August 30, 2012.

Born in New York to Matteo Masiello and Filomena Giella Masiello. He was proud of his Italian heritage. He had an older brother, Frank Masiello, who passed away in 1984. He was the devoted husband of Paulette Masiello to whom he was married for 31 years and the loving father of his daughter, Cathrine Masiello. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Kristina and Carrie, and great grandchildren, Elijah and Taylor. He was predeceased by his great grandson, Ethan.

After retiring as the District Office Chief in the Pomona Superior Courthouse, he moved to the Desert area. Eventually he and his wife divided their time between the hot desert and the cooler climate closer to the ocean in South Orange County.

He enjoyed the challenge of a good game of chess, crossword puzzles and scrabble. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, love of sports, passion for jazz and enjoyment of swimming.

A 9:00 am Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church located at 24252 El Toro Rd., Laguna Woods, CA. The Service will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at Laguna Woods Village, Clubhouse 3, Diningroom 1.
