Obituary

Loving husband, son, brother and father, Robert Edward Wolf passed away suddenly the morning of Wednesday, December 26th in his beautiful Southern Californian home at the age of 58.

He is survived by his wife Colleen, daughter Jennifer, two sons Jon (Jill) and Charlie, his father Robert and two sisters Barbara (John) and Linda (Ken), his stepson and daughter-in-law Bryan and Kristin Kimmel, his two granddaughters Brooklyn and Brinley as well as his brother and sisters-in-law Mike and Debbie Devereaux with all his many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by Rita Wolf and Carmen Moreira Wolf.

Robert will always be remembered for his immeasurable display of love for both family and friends who were considered, through his eyes, to have been an invaluable part of his life.

Born in Evergreen Park, Illinois Bob enjoyed a youth in the Mid-West filled with family, friends and sports especially baseball and ‘Da Bears!’ Relocating to Southern California in the late 70’s, Bob pursued a successful and fulfilling career in business as product manager for several electronic based corporations, most recently with Orange County based company, Thales, as Director, ASW IFE Operations. In spite of frequent business travel, Bob’s favorite moments were spent enjoying time at home with his loving wife, children, family, friends and many, many pets. Bob will be missed by all he touched and always remembered.

A memorial service for Robert E. Wolf will be held Sunday, December 30th at 10:00 a.m. at O’Connor Mortuary located at 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

  1. I was very glad to be a part of today’s ceremony and celebration; but more importantly to have known and had the opportunity to work with Bob. Bob and I worked together at Mitsubishi Consumer Electronics in Santa Ana. I quickly learned that Bob was an intelligent, experienced, and thoughtful manager. Even though he worked hard and managed significant responsibilities, he always had time to talk and brag about his kids. The three of you really were at the center of his universe and I was glad to hear how much each of you respected and loved your father.

My best to all of you as to move ahead without this great man in your presence. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.

  2. Dear Colleen, Jon, Jennifer, Charlie and all the family.

We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing and our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time.

My first meeting with my dear friend Bob, as a work colleague with Racal in 1998, turned into an enduring family friendship that will be treasured always.

Our business trips together included Paris, Amsterdam, Normandy, Toulouse and Dorset, England. Always great fun – always hilarious. One time in Paris, we both decided to try out our limited command of French. It ended with us being chased down the street by the irate taxi driver. To this day we had no idea what we said, but it put an end to any further attempts.

We will miss our dear friend terribly. Rest in Peace me old mate.
