Obituary

Knaggs, Robert Carrington, age 96, a resident of the Palmia community in Mission Viejo, California peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, 9PM in his home.

Robert (Bob) was born February 26, 1927 in St Thomas Ontario Canada, the youngest of two children, Margaret Knaggs the oldest. He enjoyed a happy and loving childhood. Later Robert married Joan Francis Schario (Knaggs) of 57 years of marriage, on June 20, 1953.

Opportunity brought them to Los Angeles in 1957 to live in Burbank, California. He had much success in the aerospace machine parts industry and later on successfully owned and operated his own packaging consulting business. Robert became a father for the first time in 1959 with his first son Rob and then again in 1969 with his second son Ryan. His personal interests were in the successes of his children by giving them love and support with their life decisions and goals. He was a dedicated family man that gave his time to his family.

Overtime, Robert and his family moved to Santa Ana in 1972, then eventually in 1997, moved to Palmia in Mission Viejo with his wife Joan after the children had matured and moved away.

Robert will be forever missed by Laura and Rob (Son), Ryan (Son), Kelly (Granddaughter), Kristy (Granddaughter) and Debbie.

The family is thankful for the kind assistance, support and comfort of the staffs of O’Connor Mortuary and Ascension Cemetery.
