Some of my fondest memories were of holidays and being babysat by grandpa. One particular memory surfaces. I was probably 4 or 5 and my grandpa was babysitting me and my brother at our house in San Juan. I remember sitting with my brother at the kitchen table watching as my grandpa drew pictures of john Wayne singing cowboy songs to us. I loved that. He always loved his Westerns and him trying to teach us the songs and, as we got older, sharing the love of westerns like Roy Rogers. I will miss his sarcasm and witty banter. He was a wonderful grandfather and I will REALLY miss him!
