Obituary

Rita Hope Dietrich, left us to meet our heavenly father on June 3, 2011. She was in declining health and lost her battle due to heart disease.

Born on June 16, 1929 in New York, NY, she was the loving wife of Roy Dietrich deceased, mother of five children, Roy Jr., Dan, Heather, Eric and Lydia and Nana to her 6 grandchildren.

Rita and her husband, Roy, resided in Long Island, NY, Broken Arrow, OK, and Menifee, CA. She lived her final days with her daughter, Lydia, and son-in-law, Tony and her 2 grandchildren in Mission Viejo, CA.
Loved by all who knew her. Our fond and cherished memories will always remain forever with us in our hearts. She will surely be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Rita can be sent to St. Kilian Catholic Church.

  1. It is with deep sadness that I heard of “Mom” Dietrich’s passing. I always remembered her with fondness and laughter. There were many great memories at your home growing up.

May you find comfort in your memories and in each other.

    With much love and sympathy,

I remember many times that I would sit next to Rita and we always had a giggle. She was so sweet and she is missed.

Lydia, my dear friend. I am truly sorry to hear of your loss.I know how very close you are to your mother. You, Tony and your siblings showed so much love to your parents. I wish I could be there to support you and your family. I will certainly keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Condolences to you and your family. I know you all have great memories with your mom, I am also blessed to have memories of Mrs. Rita Dietrich during my HS years as we Lydia & I became very close friends. I know Rita made the best tasting Corn beef and cabbage, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with the Dietrichs was always memorable.
    With Love,
