    Dad,
There is no way to put into words anything that would measure up to telling you how much i love you. You taught me by example and deeds how to hold my head up and walk like a man.I hope that you are ready for all the tributes, and stories coming your way. Isn’t it great to read and hear all the wonderful things without having to reach for the glasses?

Dear Dick, my wonderful Father in Law,
I just can’t imagine you no longer here! I have been extremely sad and emotional this week. Ever since I met Duane and started dating him, you have always treated me like one of the family. We have always had so much fun with you, whether it was playing music in the music room, going up to the houseboat, or just enjoying being in your backyard swimming in the pool and barbecuing. You have always been so generous with your family and friends, and I see that kindness and generosity in your son Duane. He is a chip off the old block! Thank you for treating me like a daughter. Thank you for all the laughs and good times. I bet you are up in heaven now telling everyone your jokes and playing guitar and singing. Enjoy the nonstop backyard barbecue up there!
