  2. All of us here, at Sharp Coronado Hospital will remember Richard’s dry sense of humor and, as Penny called it, “the Richard look”. It was the funny look he gave us when he disagreed with us or he didn’t like what we were going to do. He was a pleasure to take care of.
Our prayers are with you, Penny and all your family.

  3. Every day is precious! When you lose a friend it makes you stop and give thanks for the time you knew them. I first met Richard, the young business man, when we served as “Amigos” for the Saddleback Valley Chamber of Commerce in the mid 1980″s. He was always a great networker and made friends easily. We worked on incorporation for Lake Forest and eventually he would become one of its original Council Members and Founding Fathers.

As South Orange County evolved weplayed a part in the creation of the South Orange County Chambers of Commerce with The City of Lake Forest Chamber being one of its subsidiaries.

I was proud to be appointed as Planning Commisioner and served as Richards representative for over 8 years. Anything that involved South Orange County was sure to have Richard involved and he was pasionate about supporting the best interest of His City and its citizens.

Business moved me away 9 years ago and I miss seeing his grin, giving him a hug and occasionally playing some golf with him. He was well aware of the responsibility he had representing The City of Lake Forest and he served to the best of his ability with the Citys best interest always his priority.

Richard my old friend you will be missed, but your legacy will live on through your family and your friends! My prayers go out to all who were touched by you and we all take comfort knowing your at peace.

    Your Old Friend, Joe Hernandez

It was a pleasure to know and care for Richard. I found him to be receptive, humurous and genuine. Richard’s natural way with people was evident to all who cared for him her at Sharp Coronado. He will not be forgotten.
    Sincerely, Rick Heim

  5. Rob Dixon says:

My best memory of my Dad is hanging out with him on my Grandma’s back patio, puff’n on a couple a stogies and sipp’n on some “good drink”. (yes I know the irony of that now)

Although I am sad for the lost years and I will mourn for the time we now don’t have. I am glad we at least had time in my adult years to share some common bonds.

I have always been proud to call him “Dad”
