My deepest condolences go out to you and your family at this time. I worked with Rich over the last several years. He was a wonderfully unique individual that always brought a smile and a laugh to the day, and whose thoughts and insights always brought an experienced hand to the table. He will be so missed and always remembered.

I also worked with and for Rich many years ago at Continuus. He’s a man that you never forget – fair, will go to the mat for the people that work for him and just a good person. I hadn’t been in touch for a while, but the world is a lesser place without him….so very sorry for your loss….

There are people that cross your path in life that leave a lasting impression. They make you laugh, help you grow and remind you what is important in life. That was Rich! I will miss our chats but will never forget his wisdom. Now who’s going to call me kiddo?

Karen, condolences and prayers to you and the family as you move forward. He loved you all and was very proud of his family (and super-large pups).

I met Rich 6 years ago now, on my 1st week at IBM, and instantly knew that he was someone special. As California guys, we struck up a friendship. I got to work very closely with him just the last couple of years. I’m proud to call him a mentor and hope to use and pass along all that he shared with me in our time together. Rich was a master at picking a situation apart and seeing it for what it really was, deflating the emotions, and helping design a quick solution path.

But all this aside… I was most proud to call him a friend, and to share time talking about family, kids, dogs, cooking, and gadgets. Rich truly loved life, which is why his passing affected me so greatly. All of us are better people for having spent time with him – he will forever be on my shortlist of people to emulate.

Rich – I’m profoundly sad that you are gone. I can only hope that you feel the love in our mourning of you, and that you are finally free from the pain that brought us to this point.
