Richard Anthony Martinez, age 87, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, in Laguna Beach, California. Born on October 8, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, Richard lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his profession, and the quiet joys that brought him peace.

A devoted husband, father, and mechanical engineer, Richard was known for his integrity, curiosity, and quiet strength. His career as an engineer reflected his analytical mind and steadfast work ethic – qualities that earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

Richard found great joy in traveling with his beloved wife, Deanna Martinez. Their shared adventures created lasting memories that he cherished deeply. After her passing, he continued to find solace in the simple pleasures of life – especially his daily walks along the shores of Laguna Beach.

He is survived by his daughters, Michele Martinez and Stacy Hein. He is now reunited with his wife Deanna and their son Brian Martinez.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on December 1, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at El Toro Memorial Park, 25751 Trabuco Rd, Lake Forest, CA 92630. All are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
