Obituary

FOREVER LOVED AND CHERISHED IN OUR HEARTS

Richard Mark Seigler, age 64, better known as Mark to family and friends, passed away on August 29th, 2023, at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood, California.

Mark was born in Denton, Texas, on March 10th, 1959, to Herbert Norman Seigler and Mary Jane Seigler. He attended college in San Marcos, Texas, and Fullerton, California. He was a long-time resident of Lake Forest, California. Mark was an artist and creative director for Zang, his advertising and marketing firm. He received numerous industry awards for his work. He was an incredibly talented artist and guitarist who loved to share his gifts with both kids and adults. He supported and participated in music and art programs for kids in his community. He strove to master complex guitar techniques and songs. He was always on the hunt for interesting and new music to share with others. He loved to laugh and have fun.

In 1997, Mark met his wife of 25 years, Kimberly Seigler, in Anaheim, California.

They have three children: son, Dr. Graham Seigler; daughter-in-law, Dr. Jessica Hudson-Seigler; daughter, Emelia Rico (Seigler); son-in-law, Jesse Rico; and daughter, Morgan Seigler.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Seigler; brother, William Max Seigler.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Seigler, from Kerrville, Texas.

He will forever be remembered as a kind, humorous, and unique man, a loving husband and father, an encouraging friend, a soul of creative and musical excellence, and a faithful follower of Jesus. Terra Nova was his home church. His presence will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

A viewing for Mark will be held at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills on September 5th from 7 to 9 p.m. A light dessert will be served at that time.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills on September 6th at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served immediately after.

      Thank you everyone at the Human Bean. Mark enjoyed starting his morning with your awesome coffee making crew. I love how you’d have his drink ready as soon as you saw his car. LOL. He liked getting to know all of you and made friends wherever he went, young and old. He had things to talk about with everyone. His family and I appreciate your well wishes and condolences.

  2. In the 2 years we had the pleasure to know Mark he proved to be a fantastic co-worker but more importantly a fantastic human being. Big hearted, loyal, smart as a whip, and kind. We’ll miss his company and his laughter, but will cherish the memories we made together. Love to you all.

    Mark! How dare you leave us so soon. We were so blessed to know you and be a friend and neighbor to you the last 23 years. I will miss seeing your smiling face and twinkling eyes and wonderful laughter. You were always so easy to talk to and you were a kind and genuine soul.
