  1. I have such fond memories of the Dyer family. I met Katherine Dyer in 1967 and soon knew all her siblings and parents. Richard always made you laugh, a very funny, intelligent, artistic man. I remember trips to the art museums and drives to Hollywood Hills to check on Kat’s great aunt. Richard would pick Kat and I up at the mall or after dances. Many years later, when I was an adult, he told me he used to choke from the smell of cigarettes and Wicked Wahini perfume we wore to cover up the smoke. He never spoke of it back then, just rolled down his window and drove us around. Both Richard and Marie allowed a collection of animals on Kittridge, fox, tarantula, cats and dogs. His family loved and respected him for a life well lived. Good bye

  2. Pat Wright says:

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Richard. I was able to share many meals and holidays in his company over the years. While I did not have the pleasure of meeting Eva, I know how much she meant to him and was happy they were able to share their lives together. He cared deeply for his family and supported his children and grandchildren when they were in need. Like many others, I have several of his wonderful folkart Santa Claus that I enjoy and share at Christmas.
