Obituary
Richard Colton Poucher ? affectionately known as Dick – passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 1, 2005, after a lengthy illness. He lived a long life filled with passion, warmth, and humor.
Dick was born in St. Paul Minnesota in 1912 and graduated from the University of Minnesota. As a mechanical engineer he continued his education at Columbia University. He came to Southern California in 1940 and worked for many years in the Aerospace Industry. In 1958 he moved to Orange County and soon after began a new career in real estate, first as a broker and later as a teacher of real estate Investment at various colleges for sixteen years. After losing his hearing, Dick became an advocate for hard- of- hearing groups.
He leaves his wife of sixty-six years, Marian; three sons, John, Steve, and Roy; seven grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Bill.
