Pushpa Rani

Pushpa Rani (Chai Ji), 88, of Punjab, India, peacefully passed away on December 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 10, 1933 to Hans Raj and Parmeshwari in India.

Pushpa was preceded in death by her husband, Shiv Dass Sharma, and is survived by her three sons and their wives: Sukhdev Rai and Suman Lata, Hardev Kumar and Anita Kumar, and Jatinder Kumar and Sushma Sharma. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren.

Her family will remember her as an independent and strong-willed woman with a witty sense of humor. Chai Ji was happiest spending time in the kitchen making sure everyone was fed and cared for. She enjoyed being surrounded by her loved ones and sharing stories over a strong cup of chai. Her infamous chuckle and words of wisdom will forever be carried in our memories.

Chai Ji overcame adversity in her life and always remained resilient. She focused on the positive, and channeled her time and energy into helping others. She touched the lives of many and her impact will never be forgotten. Chai Ji was the mom of all moms and will always remain in our hearts.

Her memorial service will be held on December 22, 2021 at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills.
