  1. Joyce, Joey, Summer, Kendra, Lindsey and all your families…words convey so little when hearts feel so much! I wish I was there to hug you in person..but just remember that God is so big He can cover the whole world with His love and so small He can curl up inside your heart-hope you can feel HIM there right now!!! God hears our prayers even when we can’t find the words to say them. that’s always been a comfort to me, hopefully to you, too!! love and prayers to all of my darling cousin, Phyllis’ family. she was doll and I loved her very much!! I didn’t know any of your addresses to send a card so glad to have this means of giving you our sympathy and love.

  2. ohhh, I love Phyllis! and remember her wonderful personality, full of humor and spunk. Even tho i didn’t get to see her often, the world just seems different without her. I can imagine how our family in heaven is dancin up a storm at her arrival. Huggs to you all! I wish I could be at the memorial service.

  3. Since we were on vacation in CA & always receive the Platte paper a week late — we just found out about Phyllis’ passing and were very saddened to read about her death. Gene grew up with the Houska children and when Phyllis was in high school, she stayed in the Gruenig home in the town of Platte and babysat Gene’s sister, Myrna, for her room & board and attended high school. He has so many fond memories of Phyllis and when he was in high school — he dated Phyllis’s sister, Waneta. We saw both Phyllis & Waneta a few years back while we were all in Platte for an all-high school reunion and had so much fun with them and such a good visit. Phyllis & Gene spent so much time laughing and had such a good time reminiscing over their previous years in Platte and she was such a “fun” and wonderful person. We are so sorry for you loss. We go back to Platte almost every year for Memorial weekend and had heard that Phyllis was ill.
