Obituary

Stien, Phoebe I., 81, of Irvine, California, passed away March 19th, 2007. She was born in Thief River Falls, MN July 7th, 1925. She graduated from Edison High in Northeast Minneapolis and married a Marine Corps aviator in Pensacola, FL in 1943. For the past 15 years she was a volunteer at the Irvine Regional Hospital and had 2, 436 hours of volunteer service. Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Laurence J. Stien, and her grandson Justin L. Comstock, of Ohio. She is survived by her daughters, Paige Destein and Lynn Comstock and three grandchildren Jason, Josh and Maggie Destein. After the death of her husband in 1998 Phoebe was fortunate enough to reunite with a former high school classmate, Kermit Stahl, of Sunnyvale, CA. They happily shared the last 7 years together. Visitation Service Friday, 9:00am ~ 10:00am. Funeral Service Friday, 10:00am O?Connor Mortuary Chapel, Laguna Hills CA. Private interment at Riverside National Cemetery. Phoebe was an awesome wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by us all.
