Philip James Kams
12/31/1932 – 9/23/2023

Philip passed away peacefully from complications from Parkinson’s disease. He was born and raised in Highland Park Michigan. As a young man he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. Before he went overseas he was stationed at El Toro Marine Base and MCAS Tustin. He came to love Orange County, and eventually moved here.

As a resident of Laguna Beach he was active in civic affairs serving as First Vice-President of the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce and three time President of the Patriots Day Parade.

He is survived by his wife Diane whom he married in 1986. He is also survived by sons Michael Kams and Stephen Kams, both of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and son Randy Ingram of Brooklyn, New York as well as grandsons Owen Kams and Clark Ingram.

Funeral services will be November 13, 2023 at noon at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Laguna Niguel.
