Obituary

Peter Andrew Scott, 68, passed away on July 17, 2020 in Irvine, CA.

Peter was born in Weymouth, MA and moved to Ohio with his family at the age of twelve. He had resided in Irvine, CA since 1988.

After Peter received his bachelors in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon and his masters in mathematics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison he moved to Southern California where he resided until his passing. Peter had a long and impressive career as an aerospace engineer with Ford Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. After retiring in 2009, Peter spent his time enjoying his interests; bird watching, cycling, and playing bridge and ping pong.

Peter is preceded in death by his father Carlton Scott and mother Thelma Kelly (nee Cobbett)., as well as his sisters Joan and Nancy. He is survived by his sister Claire Scott (Bouakham Hiengphothichack) of Akron, OH and multiple nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy. Laguna Hills, CA 92653 on Friday, July 31st at 7:00pm, also available by livestream.

In lieu flowers, donations can be made to the National Audubon Society in honor of Peter’s life and love of nature. https://www.audubon.org/

    Nancy and Peter were only 13 months apart ! Kept my Mom busy and were not always as lovey dovey as they appear in this picture.

  5. The date is incorrect. Brianna says it should be Thanksgiving weekend, 2019.
