Pete Rodarte, 88, was born September 9, 1923 in Fullerton, California on Bastanchury Ranch and passed away September 15, 2011 in San Clemente, California.

A retired Press Room Supervisor for the Los Angeles Times/Orange County, Pete also served in the US Army during WWII. An avid golfer, Pete loved the ocean and lived in Dana Point for 30 years. But more than anything, he was totally devoted to his extended family and his many friends.

Pete is survived by his daughter Trisha (Paul) Calvin of Los Osos, CA; grandson Daniel Calvin; sister Isabel Correa and partner Marlene Bender. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Rodarte, who passed away in 2004.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00am at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange, CA.
