Penny Lee Aiken-Tryon was born in Portland, OR on October 13, 1938.  She went home to her Father in Heaven after a hard fought battle with cancer on September 15, 2019.

Penny lived in San Juan Capistrano for the last 10 years and loved being a docent at the Historic San Juan Mission.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don Tryon, her parents of King City OR, her brother Jim Aiken of Redmond, OR and her beloved grandson Nathan Machock of Trabuco Canyon, CA.  Penny is survived by her son Greg Gill of Medford, OR, her daughter Heidi Gill-Machock of Trabuco Canyon, CA, her sister Judy (Rich) King of Lakewood, WA, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 4 nieces.

Penny was involved in many volunteer activities of giving throughout her lifetime. Job’s Daughters, United Way of WA, Mission San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano Historical Society, Segerstrom Performing Arts Center and Philharmonic Society were a few of the organizations Penny participated in.  She was also a proud member of the D.A.R. Penny treasured her Scottish heritage and enjoyed visiting Scotland for the MacLean Clan gatherings.  She loved to travel and did so at her every chance. She grew up in the PNW but loved living in Southern California.
