Obituary

Our beloved mother, wife, daughter and sister, Peggy Armas Narciso Trinidad, 42, passed away in peace on May 26, 2004.

Pegs, as those of us dear to her heart call her, was born on October 29, 1961 in Manila, Philippines to Amancio and Loreta Narciso. Pegs spent her childhood years, together with her sister Irene, and brothers Ronald and Eric in Angeles City. They were surrounded by the love of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who to this day are as close as if they still live within miles of each other.

Pegs then spent her high school years at Holy Family Academy, where her beauty and personality blossomed into an outgoing young lady. After high school, Pegs moved back to Manila to study at Maryknoll College. Pegs stayed at a boarding house across from the school where she formed lasting friendships and her fondest memories.

Shortly after college, Pegs moved to New York, NY to be with her parents. Pegs enjoyed her work at a clothing design company in mid-town Manhattan’s fashion district, where she became a typical 80’s New York career woman, fashionably dressed for the season but with both dress shoes and tennis shoes in tow, dressy for meetings and comfy for sidewalk jaunts.

During a visit to Denver in 1984, Pegs met the Trinidad family. One of the Trinidad brothers, Angelo Gel had a lightning crush on Pegs and was truly smitten after their eyes met at the corner of 14th and Arapahoe during an evening walk at the 16th Street Mall.  Not long after, Pegs and Gel were married on August 16, 1986 and spent their first years together in Woodside, Queens, NY.

When Pegs was eight months pregnant she and Gel moved to Long Beach, CA and their first son, Jonathan, was born on December 2, 1988. Pegs and Gel then bought their first house in Foothill Ranch, CA in 1991, a small budding community in Lake Forest. On August 17, 1993, Pegs and Gel added another son, Tim, to their now also budding family. Shortly thereafter, sixteen months to be exact, another son Noah was born on November 21, 1994 and the phrase ?TriBoys? became to mean something.

Pegs passionately devoted her time to her boys? well-being and education. She shared with them her love for books by taking them to the library, in between treks to soccer fields, baseball fields and piano lessons. She imprinted on them the virtues of friendship, respect, integrity and honesty. And she showed them, through her strength of heart and will against all odds that Love, Family, and Friendship is of most import. With the grace of God may we all live as fruitful a life as Pegs with the bounty of the hands and hearts that she touched.

It was with deep sadness that I learned about Peg’s passing and I am at a lost for words at times like this. But I do remember Pegs as always wearing a smile and full of life and love for her family. She was truly one wonderful person and the world was so much brighter because of her. I am thankful that she touched my life and I am sure that where she is now, she is filled with happiness and is filled with the rewards she earned so well during her short life here wih us!
